Executive Director, Albia Area Chamber of Commerce
Laura is a native of Albia, graduating from Albia Community High School in 1994 and Indian Hills Community College in 1996 from Computer Systems/Networks. Laura and her husband, Mark, returned to Albia in 2011 with their 3 children; Max, Megan and Morgan. Laura is an active volunteer in the community as a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, CCD table leader, Altar and Rosary Society; Albia Community School District Technology Advisory Board and Booster Club; Albia Rotary Club; Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Prosper Team Leader; Albia Trails Committee, Monroe County Sports Complex Committee; Monroe County Wellness Coalition; and Monroe County Health Care Foundation.
United Country-Hawkeye Farm Management
Ryan is a native of Albia. He graduated from Albia High School in 2004. He graduated Iowa State University in 2012 with a degree in Business Management. In November 2012, he joined his father and brother at Hawkeye Farm Mgmt. Ryan has been in the Iowa Air National Guard since 2003. He is currently a member of the American Legion, Albia Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Monroe County Hospital Foundation Board.
First Iowa State Bank
Cindy Cronin graduated from Albia High School in 1999. She received her Business Administration degree from AIB College of Business in 2002 and started her banking career at Wells Fargo Bank in Ankeny where she held several different positions. Cindy married James Cronin in 2003 and moved back to Albia. She started working at First Iowa State Bank in August of 2006 in the bookkeeping department and is currently a Loan Specialist. Cindy has two girls, Makenna 9 and Addyson 6. She is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Alter Rosary. She has been active in the community coaching T-Ball, Little League Softball, Girl Scout Leader, and a member of the Fair Queen Committee.
Mike’s Blooms & Things
Tonia is the Operating Manager for Mike’s Blooms and Things on the East side of the square in Albia. She specializes in weddings, as I was the Wedding Sales Manager and Certified Wedding Planner at Honey Creek Resort for several years. She recently became a mother, to a wonderful baby boy named Henry. She has lived in Albia for as long as she can remember. Being an active member of the community is important to her, especially since her son was born and this is the community he will be growing up in.
Mossy Oak Properties
Kay, a native of Southern Iowa returned to Monroe County in 2012 and lives in Lovilia with her husband Mike and youngest son. Mike and Kay have four children and two grandchildren. Kay is a graduate of Ft. Madison High School and the Iowa School of Banking. She also attended Southeastern Community College. She joined Mossy Oak Properties – Albia in May 2013 in the position of Office Manager before getting her Real Estate license in 2015. Previously she had worked in the banking industry for 25 years with 19 years in a management position. She has spent many years volunteering for events that benefited people with disabilities. She is currently involved with her church council as council president. She is serving on the Hope Haven Area Development Center, Burlington Board of Directors for the last 5 years and is currently the board treasurer. She is a member of Lovilia Parks, Community Development, and Fall Festival committees and also a member of the Monroe County Hospital Auxiliary.
Kaytlyn is a native of Albia, graduating from Albia Community High School in 2011 and Kaplan University in 2015 with a degree in Human Services. Kaytlyn’s husband Riley and six year old son Kayden enjoy traveling and doing anything outdoors. She is an active member of The Gate Community Church and their annual Victorian Stroll Christmas Shoppe, Albia Rotary Club, and The Animal Rescue League of Iowa as an advocate for bully breeds.
Wes was born and raised in Davis County, IA and graduated from Davis County High in 2004. He received a finance degree, risk management & insurance certificate, and was a three year letter winner in football at the University of Iowa. Wes started working in real estate after college and then got in to sales at Eastern Iowa Tire. Wes just took over the local State Farm Agency on the Northwest corner of the square in Albia and is thankful for the amazing Albia Community. Wes is also a member of the Albia Rotary Club. Wes resides in rural Davis County with his wife, Randell, and three sons, Oliver, Tobias, and Rory. Randell teaches at a private preschool in Bloomfield. The family likes to spend their time fishing, playing, and enjoying life.
Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative
Anna is a native of Albia, IA. She graduated from Albia Community Schools in 2012 with honors and continued her education at Indian Hills Community College, receiving an Associates of Art degree in 2014, Anna is an Office Assistant at Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative. She and her boyfriend, Jason See, have 3 animals – Frank and June, their rescue cats and Eve their silver lab. Outside of work, Anna stays busy attending Jason’s stock car races, spending time with family and participating in community events.
Brent is originally from NW Iowa and has been with Hy-Vee for 39 years. Brent served on the chamber board for 6 years when he was first store director in Albia. Brent and his wife, Mary, recently returned to Albia which keeps them close to grandkids. He is quickly get involved in the community again. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and boating.
Benton Place Apartments
Adam was born & raised in Albia. His family have been very active in the community for numerous years. Adam with his wife Jill and three children returned to Albia in 2014 when he became Project Manager for Benton Place Apartments. Adam is a volunteer firefighter, Cub Scout leader and youth coach for flag football and Albia MAT club.
Allyson Ryan Haberman
Hawkeye Farm Management & Real Estate
Allyson is a 2014 graduate of Albia Community High School. She graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Indian Hills Community College in 2015, and graduated from Buena Vista University with a degree in Accounting in 2017. She currently resides in Albia with her husband, Owen. She is involved with the JDRF, Welcome Home Soldier, and Helping Hands committees. Recently, she took over the position of treasurer for the Helping Hands Center. She is also a member of St. Mary’s parish in Albia, where she teaches CCD classes.
Christine has been in the insurance business for 22 years working as an Agent for Bankers Life and Casualty prior to opening Crawford Insurance in July of 2000. Christine moved Crawford Insurance from Moravia, IA to Albia, IA in 2016. Christine enjoys helping customers find the best insurance to fit their needs. In addition to being an Insurance Agent, Christine is also a Real Estate Agent. She served on the River Hills Community Health Center Board from 2016-18 and currently serves on various Boards such as the Iowa Maine Association, Monroe County Fair Board and the Extension Council. Christine attends St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she is active assisting in teaching Catechism, provide dinners and other areas where she is needed. Christine is married to her husband, Milton, and they live in Moravia where they row crop and have a cow-calf operation. They have five daughters and one grandson. In Christine’s free time she likes to go boating as well as enjoying showing cattle with her daughters.

Doug Graduated from Albia Community High School in 2002. He Graduated from Indian Hills Community College in 2004 with Associates Arts / Science and 3D Virtual Reality Degree. Doug and his wife Crystal have 3 children and has been a long time member of the community. Doug is an owner in several businesses including KMA Steel / Krazy Metal Art, Wolfer Construction, and Wolfer Properties. Doug supports many Albia youth athletic and creative arts programs in the community. He is also an active member of his church, St. Mary’s. Doug enjoys hobbies such as golf, bowling, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Doug is seeking membership as a Chamber of Commerce board member because he wants to be part of a group who works to strengthen and support local businesses within the community. He believes Albia is a very supportive community and a great place to grow a strong and healthy business.
